Why did you choose RiverCrest?

Katy went to a wedding at Rivercrest previously and fell in love. When we got engaged, we definitely wanted to look there. After we toured, we both knew this was the place for our wedding. Everything felt perfect and comfortable. The atmosphere, the open spaces, the amazing staff, and of course the spectacular food were everything we pictured.

What is your favorite wedding moment?

We have two favorites! The first was walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time. It was an indescribable feeling. In that moment, we both felt a feeling of calmness and ease as we began our journey together as husband and wife. The other favorite was our first dance. That feeling was so wonderful as well. Being in each other’s arms with all our friends and family surrounding us was something we will always remember.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Hawaii! We stayed on the island of Maui. It was the most beautiful and magical experience; the trip of a life time. We were fortunate enough to snorkel with sea turtles, watch the sunrise at 10,000 feet on a mountain, explore the historical Pearl Harbor, party at a Luau, and met new friends who live down the street from us in PA! Enjoying Hawaii and all it has to offer together as husband and wife was such an incredible way to begin our marriage.

Any advice to give future RiverCrest couples?

Give yourself time to take it all in. The night truly goes so fast and if you can, take little breaks where it is just the two of you and spend a moment together. The love and support from guests is incredible, but finding those little moments to enjoy each other are so important. Lastly, enjoy being pampered by the very attentive and kind staff at Rivercrest. They really made our wedding an experience of a lifetime!
